The Concrete Moisture Probe - a.k.a. “The Determinator”, measures the in-situ moisture content within a concrete floor or slab. This Concrete Moisture Probe is used with a concrete moisture meter from the Tramex Concrete Moisture Encounter range, the CME5, CMEX5 as well as previous versions of Tramex Concrete Moisture Meters, the CME4 and CMEX2.
The Concrete Moisture Probe provides in-situ Moisture Content readings in a Tramex Unified Concrete Moisture Test Method - quantitative Moisture Content measurements are taken in both the top ¾ inch layer and within the body of concrete floors and slabs down to an extendable depth of up to 4" (100mm) and a Diameter 3/4” (19mm).
The Determinator helps determine if moisture within the concrete slab is originating from below, within or above the slab. This information can be essential in establishing the next step in fixing moisture problems in a concrete slab.
The Concrete Moisture Probe can only be used with a Tramex Concrete Moisture Meter. It does not work alone.
The Determinator is also available as part of the following kits:
- The Concrete Determinator Kit offers the Concrete Moisture Probe in a Tramex hard case with allocated space for your Concrete Moisture Meter.
-
The Concrete Determinator Tech Kit, which includes the CMEX5 Concrete Moisture Meter for non-destructive quantitative testing of concrete and comparative testing per ASTM F2659.
-
The Concrete Determinator Inspector Kit is the complete kit for instant and precise testing of both Surface and In-Body Concrete Moisture Content in floors and slabs using a unified gravimetric-based testing method. It includes the CMEX5 digital concrete moisture meter, the reusable Concrete Moisture Probe, a reusable plug-in Hygro-i2 ® RH probe for in-situ testing of concrete as per ASTM F2170, an infrared surface thermometer for surface temperature and dew point conditions when used in conjunction with the CMEX5 hygrometer and the CMEX5 extension handle.
