The Tramex Building Survey Inspection Kit provides the instruments and tools needed to conduct a thorough moisture and humidity inspection in various building materials such as drywall, wood, plaster, brick, ceramic tiles, resilient flooring, laminates and roofing and numerous building materials and air spaces.
The Moisture Encounter MEX5 (URL: https://tramexmeters.com/mex5-moisture-encounter) moisture meter measures moisture content in wood and drywall and provides comparative readings in a variety of building materials.
The MEX5 moisture meter features dual depth measuring range (URL: https://tramexmeters.com/learn/how-to-use-the-multi-shallow-depth-settings-on-the-tramex-moisture-encounter-mex5) . Deep Depth penetration of up to 1¼" (30mm) and Shallow Depth penetration of up to ⅜” (9mm). The dual depth readings of surface and core moisture can be compared to eliminate the influence of the substrate when testing coverings.
It also features a built-in hygrometer for ambient conditions and psychrometric values, an Infrared Surface Thermometer and incorporates the external RH probe for in-situ equilibrium RH readings, as well as the hand-held and hammer-action pin probes (URL: https://tramexmeters.com/moisture-meter-accessories/hammer-action-pin-type-electrode) for wood, drywall, and WME readings. The insulated 200mm (7.8") pins (URL: https://tramexmeters.com/heavy-duty-electrode) and narrow 260mm (10”) RH probe (URL: https://tramexmeters.com/sensors/ambient-rh-probes/rhp-nw-11-narrow-rh-probe) allow for deep wall cavity and insulation pin probing.
Bluetooth connectivity to the Tramex Meters App (URL: https://tramexmeters.com/tramex-meters-app) allows for visualization of readings, moisture mapping and data reporting to mobile devices, to GeoTag test results (URL: https://tramexmeters.com/learn/geotag-feature-in-the-tramex-meters-app-and-the-5-series-meters) , create, save and share photos, reports and charts, as well as see your meter screen on your phone when extending to hard to reach places.
The Tramex Building Survey Inspection Kit comes with an extension handle (URL: https://tramexmeters.com/moisture-meter-accessories/other/extension-handle) and a protective heavy-duty carrying case with die-cut foam lining.
