Place the ME5 or MEX5 in the correct orientation with the electrodes in position.
Lightly compress the meter as when taking a reading.
The meter is in calibration if within the following tolerances when checked in these scales:
1. Wood - Timber: ME5 and MEX5: 19.0%. ±1.0%
2. Shallow Depth ME5: 14.0% +/- 2.0%
Shallow - Wood MEX5: 14.0% +/- 2.0%
3. Drywall - Roofing: ME5: 22.0%. ±2.0% MEX5: 62.0 REL ±2.0
